About 'The Tanner Family'
Hello I am John Tanner Jr. I have been involved in my family tree for some time now,I feel it is so important to me to know where I came from and my forefather's. I am setting this site up for my future and the future of my children and their children. So many times we cross paths with the past, or our family in the past. My family name Tanner came from Ireland, in Ireland a tanner is the name of Oak tree's.

Rev. Chief Charles Journeycake was the first man to have the name Journeycake, and then it was given to his family members, his brothers, sister, father, and grand-father. Chief Journeycake had 16 children and none of the boys grew up to have family's of their own, there is a lot of history in his family tree that is worth knowing. Family can cross paths as time goes by, I have been finding family across the world not only in the United States.

Chief Journeycake was the signer of many treaty's over his years with the United States, as well as the Delaware Chief who sign treaty's with the Cherokee tribe as well, this treaty set a course of life for the Delaware. Without this treaty we as Delaware may of just faded away in time.

Chief Issac Journeycake and Chief John Journeycake were also great Chief's, like their brother they to had been to congress a
number of times book were wrote about Chief Issac and Chief Charles Journeycake, [Johnnycake,Jonnycake]are often used as their name.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
